Bernardston, MA – April 27, 2017 – The Kringle Candle Company in Bernardston, MA, was this year’s recipient of the Better Business Bureau Marketplace Excellence Award at last evening’s BBB ceremony held at The Castle of Knights in Chicopee. Each year, the BBB of Central New England recognizes local businesses that “encompass BBB’s mission to ensure that our marketplace remains trustworthy and honorable.”
Kringle Candle was among nine finalists and selected as the winner in BBB’s large business category for its commitment to their customers, employees, community and reputation within the business’ industry.
Kringle Candle was founded in 2009 by Michael (Mick) Kittredge III and opened its manufacturing operation and retail campus in October 2010. The company has expanded since its beginning with a retail store, a 3-level post and beam Country Barn, a Chocolate Cottage and a full-service restaurant, The Farm Table, and became an Accredited BBB business in 2016.
“It is very important to be accredited by our Better Business Bureau, as it is one of the best standards of trust for customers who shop at our retail campus, as well as our online store and see the BBB seal of approval,” said Mick Kittredge.
“We continually strive to provide the best possible service for our customers, our staff, and to be an excellent employer within the community while giving back through service and donations. We’re very honored to be recognized and proud to win the BBB Award for Marketplace Excellence.”
Mick Kittredge is the son of Michael Kittredge II, the founder of Yankee Candle and notes that his great sense of heritage, his knowledge and love of candle making is a result of growing up in his father’s world of wax and wicks. When a college course required him to create and promote a product – candles were the natural choice for Mick. His concept for Kringle Candle was to create all white fragranced candles to fit any home décor. The company expanded this past year with its newest Country Candle brand of colored wax candles and Kittredge family recipes.
Following last evening’s award presentation, Mick thanked Kringle Candle employees for the work they do with a company picnic on Thursday, April 27.
